Creating a Tarot Reading Nook

When it comes to reading Tarot or most forms of divination for that matter, getting yourself in the right mindset to do a reading and connect with your higher self is a huge part of the process. Most people use candles, incense, reading mats and crystals. These things are not mandatory to be able to do an accurate reading, but they help signal that you are ready to get started. I wanted to create a special place dedicated to doing Tarot readings. I sent the image I painted and used for my affirmation deck Marigold Mornings (available here for purchase if you are interested) and had wallpaper designed form that image. I set out this morning to put wallpaper on a section of the room where I will dedicate to doing Tarot readings. Oftentimes divinatory practices are represented by dark images but that is not my style. Don't get me wrong, my Scorpio moon is very loud and I love everything creepy and spooky. But when it comes to doing Tarot readings I like to create a warm and inviting space. It elevates my mood and the messages that come through are more conducive to healing and positivity.

I created the space and I am totally feeling it! Let me know if you want to make your own wallpaper and I can give you a tutorial of how I made it on Spoonflower.
